The moving for our kids
How to alleviate kids from the removal stress
On the web you can find plenty of sites that discuss this important issue; so we'll give here only some directives. Anyone like parents can understand how to keep the kids happy, since kids aren't cut from the same cloth; each one has his own personality, depending on the age and on the individual aptitude to bear situations like this.
The removal is a very stressing event, like a little disaster; as the adults, the children feel the effects of this. Strive to ensure they are happy during the removal, in particular the youngest. You can arrange to leave them whit your relatives or with your baby-sitter.
The eldest children can give you a hand in the removal. It will make them feel very satisfied by helping their parents in such an important task. Obviously, you have to assign them easy work and keep an eye on them (be sure they don't move heavy weights; they could harm themselves).
It's very important to prepare the children for the removal quite early; explain to them that all the furniture will be disassembled, that there will be a little bit of nervousness, that some people they don't know will be all over the house, handling their games too.
Now, we can begin to think about plants and pets.
