MOVINGS

The comprehensive guide to arrange movings saving money!

Moving plants and pets

The moving should be confortable for them too: some tips to avoid their suffering

Pets

As children, pets need the best comfort during the removal; further, in the critical moments of the removal, they could escape if left free.

You can leave your pets in the old home courtyard or garden till the removal is finished, moving them last, giving them only what is necessary. Otherwise you can move them first and accomodate them in their own area in the new home. In both cases it's necessary to avoid any possibility of escape by checking that any gates is locked. Be also careful not to put them where you need to pass to perform the removal; in fact someone could open the gate or leave a door open and your pets could escape. Keep in mind that the risk of escape, in particular for cats, is extremely high.

You could accomodate pets at your relative's, friends' or kennels; this is the best way without doubt; you are completely free of worry, even if the removal takes more than a day.

Fish and birds

Fortunately there is no risk of escape, so you can move them last without any worry, keeping in mind to give them any attention they should need.
If your fish or birds are accomodated in big cages or acquariums, you would be better to move them last in little cages or acquariums, then move their former home and then re-accomodate them.

Plants

If you need to pack plants to perform the trasportation, keep in mind that, as pets, they need to be moved last and downloaded first. Avoid leaving them inside the van longer than required for the transportation.

Now you have arranged and planned all the details; you can begin to think about the day (or the days, if your removal requires more than one) of the removal.
